Acclaimed Filmmaker Dies After Private Battle with Cancer

Filmmaker and Documentarian Morgan Spurlock has died at the age of 53 after a private battle with cancer.

Spurlock is best known for his 2004 documentary 'Super Size Me,' in which he ate nothing but McDonald's food for 30 days. The film was a critical and commercial success, and it helped to raise awareness about the dangers of fast food consumption.

In addition to 'Super Size Me,' Spurlock also directed and produced other documentaries, including 'The Greatest Movie Ever Sold' (2011) and 'POM Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold' (2012). He also hosted the television series 'Morgan Spurlock Inside Man' (2013-2016).

Spurlock's death is a loss for the film community and for the world. He was a talented filmmaker and a passionate advocate for healthy eating. He will be missed.
