Clean Air Day Metrolink

Free Rides on Metrolink for California Clean Air Day

Southern California residents can ride Metrolink for free on Wednesday, Oct. 4.

The free rides are part of the fifth annual California Clean Air Day.

The event is designed to encourage people to reduce air pollution by taking public transportation, biking, or walking instead of driving.

Metrolink is one of several public transportation agencies in Los Angeles that will be offering free rides on California Clean Air Day. Metro will also offer free rides on all trains and buses.

Riding public transportation is a great way to reduce air pollution. According to the South Coast Air Quality Management District, taking public transportation instead of driving can reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 75%. It can also reduce air pollutants, such as smog-forming ozone and particulate matter.

Metrolink encourages Southern California residents to leave their cars behind and take Metrolink whenever they can. By doing so, they can help improve air quality in the region and make a positive impact on the environment.
